Did you follow the installation instructions? Specificly, the bit about setting directory permissions. 4images can't write to the media directory, as it is owned by another user. make sure all of the directories/files are chwon'd to your account, or an account accessable by the webserver, and that the directory permissions have been chmod'd as specified in Installation.txt.
