New category and Safe_Mode
« on: January 15, 2003, 02:28:38 PM »
Hello,

When I creat a new category through the admin and then upload inside this new category new images, and then when I check for new image in the admin, I receive this message:
Quote

Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 589 is not allowed to access ./../data/media/38 owned by uid 48 in /home/virtual/site84/fst/var/www/html/portfolio/gallery/admin/checkimages.php on line 191

And when I will delete this category, I receive this message:
Quote

What can I do ?
I can't change the apache server status to turn off the safe_mode.

Many thanks for your help and time.

The only way is to create the category folders via FTP and chmod them with 777.

Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
1. Forum rules
2. FAQ
3. Search
